Leaving...or not really (Dan)

He looked at her. Did she always ask so many questions? He wondered a little what her story was. Wondered if she would tell the truth.
"I'm on business." He said looking at her. He knew he had to make up something quick and that was easy to do for him. It was part of the job after all.

Theodora was aware that she was asking probably too many questions, but she didn't really care. She just needed to chat with somebody, anybody really, and he was there. And she assumed that she would never see him again anyway.
"Oh, you're working then. Too bad," she said, taking another sip from her beer.

He looked at her and chuckled a little. "Not working right now. Work hours are over." He said looking at her. Was she now brushing him off? Wow this girl had weird moods.

Theodora was not brushing him off; she had just made a statement about this. She smiled a bit towards him, nodding. "Oh, it's good then," she said. She was having some free days from her job in that time of the year, so that was why she was trying to get revenge on the one who had killed her brother.

He nodded simply and turned away a little drinking his beer. He sat back a bit and rubbed his head. He looked around the bar and sighed a bit. He was glad not to have to worried at this minute about some demon or something.

As she sipped from her beer, Theodora's eyes remained locked on the stranger's handsome face. He really was a good-looking man and he also seemed an interesting one, with many secrets lying within. There was something about his eyes that made her want to know more.

Dan looked back at her and smiled. He was happy to meet her, but she seemed to take an interest in him, and he wasn't sure what she found so interesting about him, because his life was not interesting at all.

When he noticed that she was looking at him and smiled, she put on a kind of awkward smile and turned her eyes away from him, pretending to sip from her beer. She was probably blushing a bit, but it was pretty dark in the bar.

He never noticed her blush, but that was ok. He finished his beer and ordered another. He was hoping to get slammed tonight. He need a lot of beer. He needed to let the job go. For one night, tonight.

Theodora looked at him, a bit surprised when he ordered another beer. It seemed like he had his problems as well as her and he needed to forget them for one night. And she needed that too. She ordered another beer as well, then turned her eyes back at Dan.
"Where are you from?" she asked, out of the blue. She didn't want to be by herself and this stranger seemed really interesting.

Dan took a drink from his beer and looked at her smiling at her. "Here and there." He said looking at her. He never liked that question. It was one on his top ten don't ask questions.

Theodora raised an eyebrow at his answer, chuckling a bit. "Mysterious, huh?" she asked, smiling slightly as well. He was getting more and more interesting and unpredictable.

He looked at her and sighed a little. "My dad was a sales men We moved around ten times a year if not more. So here and there is the right answer." He said looking at her.

Theodora turned her eyes back to Dan, her face more serious when he sighed. She swallowed a bit hard hearing his words. "I...I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't mean to be indiscreet."

He nodded and sipped his beer again. "Its ok. No biggie really." He said them smiled back at her. He wasn't mad, just didn't like a ton of questions.

Theodora smiled, a bit guilty, then sipped from her beer away, turning her eyes away from him. She really felt bad for that, it was pretty obvious that he didn't want to talk much that night.

He nodded and looked around. "So... What do you like to drink besides Beers?" He asked her, trying to make small talk. He really wasn't a people person.

Theodora turned her eyes back to Dan and smiled slightly at his question. "Vodka, tequila... Many things, really," she said, shrugging a bit. Especially when she was sad or upset, everything worked.

He nodded and ordered them a fish bowl. "I got something you will really like then.": He said to her smiling. He knew drinks well, since he drank a lot.

Theodora smiled a bit as he ordered a fish bowl. "Hmm, nice," she mumbled, glancing at him for a bit.

He smirked. "Had one of these before?" He asked looking at her. He really wanted to get drunk and maybe have a good time tonight. Though at first that was not what he wanted.

Theodora chuckled a bit, passing a hand through her dark blonde hair. "Yes..." she admitted, shrugging a bit at the same time. "I tend to do that a lot when I'm upset." She did not have a problem with alcohol, but she just felt that it solved things, at least for a little while.

He nodded a little looking at her. "Well then. Buttons up." He said as the bartender sat the drink down for them. He smiled and took one of the straws and took a big drink. He loved Fish bowls.

Theodora gently bit her lip as she smiled back at him. But, before he thought that she was staring or something, she took a straw herself and took a drink.
